Bio
Elizabeth Gill has been helping nonprofit organizations achieve their missions for over twenty years. Whether working with University art collections, helping a community school of the arts through a transition from founder-leadership, directing the operations of a nonprofit school for children with disabilities or bringing improved infrastructure and building the capacity of a local youth development organization, she has brought her dedication and knowledge to the cause at hand.
Before launching her development consulting practice, Elizabeth served as Executive Director for City at Peace, a youth development program that serves teens from around the DC region in a transformative performing arts based program. Under her direction, the group was featured in the Catalogue for Philanthropy and received the Mayor’s Art Award for Outstanding Contribution to Arts Education.
Prior to City at Peace, Elizabeth was the Director of Operations for St. Coletta of Greater Washington, a school for children and adults with mental retardation, autism and secondary disabilities. Her responsibilities included financial and building operations, regulatory compliance and personnel functions. As the first Executive Director of the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop she navigated the transition from founder-leadership.
Elizabeth also held positions of increasing responsibility at Columbia University, University of Massachusetts/Amherst and the American Institute of Architects Foundation.
